Suspension brackets

Hi all

I have issues with the 2 front susp brackets. They do not touch the chassis at the mounting points. The uppers are worse up to 4mm, the lowers only bout 1.5mm. I realise from other posts others have had similar issues and have packed the gap between the front frame and bracket.

Unfortunatley my gap is tapered because the sides of the front frame are slightly twisted. I am therefore not happy packing it out.

This would mean cutting the front frame sides out and replacing. My other issue is that according to the measurement given, the upper susp brackets are not located centrally on the front frame.

So do I redesign the front frame so the bracket is central on the frame and there is no gap?

Or does anyone see any issues later when fitting nosecone/radiator?

HOPE THIS MAKES SENSE! it does to me in a wierd way!

If you cut the front frame out tack in braces before you do it as the whole chassis is under a fair amount of stress and will move even if only tacked, trust me I've done it. My frame was 30mm too long overall and had to cut off front frame and it went twang big style.
