Cheers to Gus
I had been told that Gus had made a nice job of his car then I saw it for myself Monday morning...Bit more than "just a nice job" Gus has managed to do a better job than quite a few cars on show in the halls, turns out he has never built a car before either....
Cheers for letting me drive it too and sorry I stayed in 1st and left the noisey bit alone but cider lack of sleep and knowing how far you had to go to get home meant I didn't want to be the one to break it..:) Cheers. Mark |
Don't praise him to much I have got to work with him all day, and his head will swell!!
I know what you mean though. When it was in the hall at Exeter last year you would be hard pushed to tell it had been built at home, by a novice car builder. Proves what it possible by not cutting corners, attention to detail, and taking your time. |

Hi Mark,
Thanks for the kind words, it always seems to attract a lot of attention wherever I go. I think it is the colour!! People are even more surprised when they find out it was built from scratch at home, and the amount it cost. Cheers Gus |

You know me by now surely I don't say I like something if I don't and that is one fine and dandy car and to think you built it for next to nothing considering what others have spent really is a credit to you. Cheers, Mark. |
There you go, you've gone and made his head swell.
He has gone red though reading such lovely things said about him, lol. Cheers Dave |

I agree with you. I just hope my own will be up to the same standard once it is finished.
