Diff

Has anyone here used a jag powerlock diff and still used the sierra suspension set up. Or know of an alternative to the sierra diff that has a ratio of around 2.88/1

What about the Mazda MX5 diff? Not sure ratios mind you but it's the "new kiddie" when it comes to making a kit car these days.

Or then there is the Freelander diff or perhaps a BMW

MX5 diffs are either 4.3:1 (1.6 LSD) or 4.1:1 (1.8) so that counts them out of the equation.

UK spec Impreza's are 3.55, slightly closer than the MX5 units but only just.

Nissan Motorsport sold a range of ratios for the R180 diffs as well as a clutch type LSD.
The were available as 3.364,3.545,3.700,3.900,4.111,4.375,4.625,4.875,5. 143 they might be still available.

Jag diff is agricultural in comparison to the aformentioned diffs.

2.88/1 thats a tall ratio for a diff! i dont know of any diffs like that it would have to be off somthing with a massive slow spinning motor
try v8s or american cars then i think it would be so big it would not fit the haynes.
