Powdercoating diff cover plate
 
Hi all has anybody tried this and if so did you encounter any problems.

Diff cover doesnt use a gasket and relies on the flat surface and the huge bolts to get a seal.

Powder coat may upset this I reckon....

Thought I would totaly mask off the joint and inside face, coat it then remove the masking before I bake it off. Silver or black any thoughts

Well have powdercoated the diff coverplate, please have a look and see what you think I have uploaded them to my build link below

Nice work, I think with your attention to detail your build is going to take a while :)
I give mine a quick rub down and sprayed it with silver engine paint.

Thanks for the comment .Thats the problem with working in the aircraft industry, especially when you work on multi-million pound corporate jets.
