Throttle Pedal stop
Has anyone found the need for a forward throttle pedal stop?
I've got mine hooked up to a set of bike carbs but I find it is over travelling and coming too far back. I'm looking to add something to the front of the pedal similar to the brake pedal stop but I was just wondering if anyone else had come across a similar issue? |
I think the throttle pedal has a front stop the same as the clutch pedal. It is an L shaped bracket that attaches via the pivot bolt. I have got one fitted on my bike carb setup.

As stated above, the book designed 'L' bracket, should stop the pedal from going too far forward, or backwards, as the upper or lower portion contacts the stop. I suppose maybe a WIDER stop, would naturally provide less travel, as just adjusting it to stop rearward movement would cause it to never contact the lower 'puller' portion and wouldn't fuction as a W.O.T. stop. Hope that makes sense?

I wanted to make sure this couldn't happen with mine. Didn't want the nipple to be in a position where it could jump off the bottom of the pedal.
This was my solution ![]() Then I decided I didn't want any chance of ripping off the nipple under full throttle so made a stop to prevent it going too far forward as well. Makes it very adjustable and easy to do. ![]() |
