Bolts for steering column/CP15

1 Attachment(s)
Hi everyone,
I don't have a donor car (I couldn't store it), so I'm buying parts along the way. I now have my Sierra steering column, but I can't figure out the bolt pattern. The holes in the oval part of the steering column are 20mm, and the holes in CP15 (steering column supports) are 13mm.

Do I need bushes in the 20mm holes of the oval part or special shouldered bolt, or something else?
Thank you in advance for your help.
Sylvain

In the Sierra M10 or M12 studs stick out of the steering column bracket. The column is bolted to them with huge washers. The slack is the range of adjustment of the fixed column. I just used M10 bolts and those large washers.

Can't help on this one sylvain, as mine has the pressed steel bracket and I am using M12 bolts.....looks like you need a spacer/washers measuring 20mm OD and 12mm ID to fill the hole or just a big strong/thick washer on the nut end

I bought some top hat spacers on here from Talon. They were just the job and cost about £10 I think. He does sell them on Ebay also.

Thank you for the replies guys.
Do you mean something like that (with nylock nuts) will be OK?

Ozzy, what do you mean by "top hat". Bushes with flange ? I'll get in contact with Phil about that. Thank you.

This should be fine. The original washers were really huge, though, 30 mm in diameter or so, and at least 2 mm thick, too.

Thank you very much for the replies and details, I'll see if I have other things to order from the UK, I'll order them from Phil. Otherwise, I'll keep my washers for now.
Thanks again.

even ajustable colum types have a massive hole for the bolt size
what my doner had was a thick large washer and just clamped it up
