zetec / chassis dimensions please

Ive made up a little zetec fuel injection kit for fun but I need to work out if it will fit in a roadster as it has very long inlet runners. The idle valve fowls the chassis rail on a locost

Has any one got a zetec fitted minus inlet and can stick a tape from head to chassis rail for me please :) Even better if your local and I can offer it up.

I could do with selling this one to fund the st170 setup and need to know what it will fit:D

cheers

if your headers are at 90deg to your flange face then there is no room for a alternator as the old bolt hols on the otherside of the block are used for a engine mount on most 7kits

I think the alternator is not impossible to fit with this header, along the same lines I've done it:

P.S. I'll measure the head-to-chassis distances when I get home.

Cheers.

Alternator is not a problem. Its the same design as the one fitted to mine it just has longer inlet runners that should give better power at top end.

So, the distance between the head intake flange and the TR2 chassis rail is about 263 mm at the front of the head and 303 mm at the back (when measured square to the flage). The rear surface of the engine is 55mm from the bulkhead (TR8). The TR5 brace is on the opposite side on my LHD chassis.
