Looks compact and smart Murray plus if you put a vent on the bonnet it's gonna push loads of cold are to the inlet:

Will probably have to balance the carbs again though as the air pressure will be reducing as it travels to the end but an easy job.

the pics arent that good but it does taper about 25mm to the back i thought that may speed the air up as it reaches the back carb

corrrr mg that looks git posh:D :D ...your build pics show a really nice build coming along but why don't you have a build thread as peeps are more likely to look at pics on a thread via a image hosting site surely flikr lets you do that?

Sorry I am absolutely useless with computers what do you mean kev

What a cracking job you have made of that airbox. Aside of the above points it will be a lot quieter.

Well it's a bit of an experiment really from what I have read there are some real advantages to having an airbox rather than a big filter plus it cost nothing to make only the filter which was £10

like what Bob has done above but all in a separate build thread...photobucket has a copy feature that lets you insert an image into the forum pages which allows a much bigger image than the forums standard size allowance

Well that is one nice piece of work there:cool:
Where did the filter come from if i might ask....

mgglep 20th October 2012 09:31 PM

It was off the bay it was about £10 including p&p
