its perfectly acceptable to not use the clutch on upshifting on a bike engine, if you blip the throttle at the same time its kinder to the gearbox
unless like i had on my race bikes you had a "quickshifter" this allowed me to keep the throttle on the stop even when changing up
this was worth a few yards per lap

"Quickshifters" are not cheap tho, between £300 to £500 per kit.
