It's only tacked at the moment but I am well chuffed with the progress thus far. The chassis kit was done very well and only a tiny amount of fettling was required. There are a couple of tubes in the tranny tunnel that are too short but Andy is sorting that for me. I will point out that I did not need the hacksaw
I have quite a few bits ready done to go on the car so it will seemingly start off quite quickly. I have had the donor since November and have got the engine / box and a few other bits off it but there is still much to be done with regards to removing bits.
It's all great fun, I like the challenges and the triumphs as each bit comes together. This is my first experience of serious welding, it was all practice up till now. The inverter welder makes it so easy it's unreal. It was a serious bargain, it's a 200 amp Tig MMA jobby, it came with all the bits and pieces except the gas bottle and regulator and it only cost 140 quid delivered.
I have not tried tig yet, I will learn that skill before it comes to the petrol tank
Happy building chaps!!
