yes it is normal to have a regulator on the exit/return side of the fuel rail.
chuck some fuel in the intake if it fires its fuel if it doesnt its ignition
as the meerkat says simples init

of course this assumes cam timing is correct and you have compression.
Hi Raylee, yeah cam timing should be ok, it ran fine in the donor, is chain driven and hasn't been touched. Definitely got compression too.

not a wasted/lost spark system - what does a phase sensor look like and where should I look for it? I know I have a crank position sensor mouned next to a toothed wheel on the crankshaft - is that it?
