I also mounted the EDIS under the dash as this is known to be suceptable to the extra heat under a 7's bonnet.
Be extra dilligent with tha cabling and especially the shielded cables which should be earthed at only 1 end.
The VR sensor bracket needs to be stiff.
Use good quality shielded cable for the VR sensor, I got somegood stuff from Trigger-wheels.com and make sure the mini timer plug is well fitted, has a loop to take engine movement. I have had multiple failiers where the small wires join the plug due to the cable bending at the plug.
