Hi Tim, it doesn`t matter if its a saloon or estate they`re all the same.
The first edition of the book had shorter rear wishbones by about 10mm which required the driveshafts to be modified I believe, but later editions have been altered to allow you to use the driveshafts as they are. If you do a search on here you may find the details.
When I first fitted my driveshafts they were very tight, but after they have had weight on them they sort of get pushed past where they are used to being in their old grease. Might be an idea to strip the cv joints and wash them out/repack them though as this will help. I remember thinking I had made a huge mistake somewhere and my driveshafts were never going to fit but they did, and very well in the end.
