I've been looking for a pre 95 1.8 zetec to put in for IVA but been offered a Qreg Carlton Commando kit car with a 2L carb dizzy pinto for £175. It comes with two gearboxes (4 spd) and being based on a cortina I could probably flog the uprights and back axle (and maybe the Reg
) Hasn't been started for 6 years mind.
I'm undecided. What are the pros and cons of both motors. I'm aware that the exhaust exits opposite sides so swaapping at a later date means a lot of work.
