Personally I'd try and get the pinto running before parting with any cash.

Don't forget you need to be able to prove your engine's age to qualify for a non-cat IVA emmissions test, which may be difficult to prove with the pinto as it has already be transplanted once.

If you intend doing swap post IVA anyway, a CVH may be an easier engine to source.

Sorry, I know bugger all about Zetecs.
