Well I managed to get the spigot bearing out today using the bearing pullers from work. It was still a bitch to do and ended up ripping the inner race out by accident, but that gave me a nice lip to get the bearing puller onto meaning it came out easily after that.
The new one is now fitted and I just need to borrow a torque wrench from a work mate and buy some clutch + bell housing bolts and I'll be ready to install my engine!
