Would this be of any use?
Chris,
I created a spreadsheet (Excel) last year when I was working out how much steel to buy and what the cost would be.
The spreadsheet lists all the steel lengths from the book drawings and calculates what lengths of steel and of what type you need to order.
If you know the unit price and the unit length (for my supplier it was 6 m) it will calculate the cost and if you'd like to lengthen the cockpit a little (as I did) you can do that too and the quantites are updated.
In the end I over-ordered on the steel quantities given in the spreadsheet, since I wanted to fabricate a few other bits and pieces (e.g. a welding trolly), so you had better check it before you start placing orders and spending money. I also bought some 25 x 50 which (as the book says) can be subsituted with multiple lengths of 25 x 25.
If you think it maybe of use to you (and if anyone else would like a copy) pm me with your eMail and I'll send you a copy.
There is a snippet of it from a screen-shot:
