Default Had a little oops...

I've been putting off drilling a hole in the top of my alloy fuel tank, for the gauge sender. After finally going for it, drilled the hole and looked through into the tank, and remembered why i wasn't going to drill it at the end...

My tank has baffles in it, and where i drilled the float arm would be undeneath a baffle, so wouldn't work.

Anyhoo, I've drilled another one at the opposite end, which i should be able to fit the float round the baffle.

So my question is, can i tigerseal a square of aluminium over the first hole i've drilled? Will that fail IVA?

Best bit so far: Getting it running
Worst bit so far: Cutting steel for wishbones and engine mounts.
Most annoying bit so far: Generator packing up half way through welding.
