I wouldn't have thought the rev range would be a problem (it would be the other way round, using a car ECU on a bike).

Were you thinking of using an OEM ignition system, or an aftermarket one?
The only problem I can think of at the moment is that the advance/retard map in the bike ignition probably isn't going to be anywhere near ideal for the car engine (unless it's an aftermarket one that you can adjust/program).
The danger is that if it's too far advanced it will cause knock and could wreck your engine.

Can you not just use the car ECU, but leave the injector outputs unconnected?
