Default Ultramarine enough?

Darryl,

there's a picture of mine here:

http://www.haynes.co.uk/forums/attac...4&d=1305572740 (as you know)

Although it's ultramarine blue (RAL 5002), too light?

I know what you mean about getting the right shade. It's easy to decide on a colour but getting the correct shade is trickey.

You probably know: GRP colours are catergorised using a RAL number (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RAL_%28...pace_system%29). There are many on-line (e.g. http://www.e-paint.co.uk/RAL_Colourchart.asp) but it still doesn't make it much easier to choose the correct number, a computer screen image or print out of such a chart will be misleading.

In the end I bought a colour swatch booklet (a few £s off eBay), which has a very good representation of the colour, and made my decision using that.

The only real way though is to look at some actual samples or find someone who has a colour you like.

Other members, allterrain, Darryl, eSteve, les g, SeriesLandy, Spikehaus and Tilly819, have choosen blue (see http://www.haynes.co.uk/forums/poll....ults&pollid=25). Till819 and I have posted pictures, maybe you might get a few more pictures and colour codes to give you more idea.

Let us all know what you choose.
