Maybe I,m missing something but I had the same thoughts too.

I,ve spent alot of time in Spuds car , both on track & long journeys ( Newark & back ) & found that the heat generated from the engine/transmission more or less kept my legs warm ( in fact quite cosy ),

So if a heater was fitted I,m not sure you,d feel any benefit as its the upper part of the body that needs the warmth, but, alas we,re driving a car without a roof so any heat from a fitted heater would be pointless IMHO.

Off to buy a thermal jacket
