hi spud - it seems you have made your mind up about the s2000 engine which is good

but

make sure the power you expect is the power you will get or you will end up doing the modified route to that which is an expensive route.

with regards to the hayabusa

1. the bhp figure from new is about 175, not '200' [less any loss.]
2. driving the car - there is very very little loss of torque with the busa i have noticed - if you drive it correctly you should be in the right gear anyway!!
3. the sequential box is a dream!! on full throttle shifting it just clicks into gear with very little lift off at all even without a quick shift.
4. the reverse boxes are shit - plain and simple but you can go the starter motor route which works very well.
5. weight - the whole engine and box weighs in less than the weight of a s2000 engine alone
6. reliability - DONT FIDDLE WITH THE ENGINE if you do you risk it going bang - they are designed to be run in a bike as you know and right on what is very close tolerances - leave it alone and it will be ok in standard form.
7. performance - best mod for any car has got to be - - - - suspension set up! worth 100 bhp any day. theres not many cars get away from my car the only one i had pass me was a 911 GT3 [with 450+ ponies] and i wasnt watching

if your gonna use the car a lot on motorways - car engine - it can get tiring in a bike car

but back roads - see ya!
