Carrying on from what Bonzo has said above. I have not enclosed the bottom of the transmission tunnel, and I was able to fit my single piece propshaft without having to remove the engine/gearbox and the diff. By pushing the spigot of the prop all the way into the gearbox, the prop diff flange missed the diff flange nut by millimeters.

Should make maintenance easier at a later date.
