not quiet true it is possible to use a diffrent engine from a diffrent car and still get an age related plate if you use enough doner parts from the orignal car. dvla look at what you have used give each part an amount of points and asses if it would qualify to have enough points to get an age related plate.
(im building a case for my car to have age related plate)
as you only have a logbook and chassis strictly speaking it is worthless to get an age related plate without the orignal parts to go with it.
odd thing is the engine block would be the only identifyable bit of a sierra unless it was clearly not a part that was fitted to the car on the logbook
