Have blown up several...Design was loosly based on a GM V8 but no directly interchangeable parts. Poor lubrication system, weak crank and a block lacking stiffness which is why Lotus binned most of the vauxhall parts and made their own! then Vauxhall got busted for using mostly Lotus parts in their Rally Chevette
