We use it on racing car also. It is a big improvement if you compare to the tank foam, as first, you can fill your tank with the particles after you've made the tank, the weight is 37g/litre, and the occupation is only 1,5% of the total volume. Their feature is not only to baffle the tank in order to avoid fuel starving, but also in case of crash, to avoid explosion by absorbing the pressure and heat. They encapsulate the fuel and actually act like hundreds of small deformable fuel tanks.
It is a very good product, and can't be bad for a road car... but is it necessary? It is totally up to you
