That wont be a proper weight, I took our foden tractor unit in for its annual test to the vosa here in guildford. The tractor unit is about 12 ton the trailer about 4 ton and there was a pile of cast iron weights on the neck of the trailer which was 12 ton dead. Axle 1 steering axle= 5 ton, axle 2=4 ton ,axle 3= 4.5 ton . failed on insufficient weight on axle 2 and 3. Those rollers showed 13 and a half ton on what was well over 24 ton. A long argument later and they accepted it. But the upshot is they are far from accurate. So has anyone put there car on a weighbridge or corner weighted their cars?
