The IVA tester was a sound guy, the nearest vosa test station was Kidderminster, was there for over 5 hours but he let us watch the whole test chatting and helping out!
What confused me was the first thing the IVA tester did was check the stamped chassis vin number and id plate. If these didn't match the paperwork then that's an instant fail! So when handing all the paperwork into DVLA with the IVA pass certificate they insisted i bring the vehicle for a VIN inspection! When i questioned this to the guy explaining what the IVA involves, his response was "well we are the DVLA not VOSA we need to check the vehicle is what you say it is sir!"
So anyway took the car to DVLA for its inspection, was told to unload it off the trailer, chap came out with a clip bored was there 2 minutes, asked me a few questions and that was it! Picked up the reg documents the next day after paying the correct amount!
