My heart sank as when we turned the engine over something rattled inside.
Looked over it all and found a bolt that was lying around in the block.
Turned out it was the bolt for the oil pick-up pipe bracket. Result.
Further inspection shows new Crank, new big end shells main journals and a 50thou over size re-bore, oh and a new oil pump.
All for £100, including new clutch, alternator, ditributor and a type9 gearbox.

Thats a result. The odds of that happening are probably that of winning the lotto
If they were sloppy enough to leave the pickup pipe bolt loose I would go over the whole thing just to be sure.
