Quote:
Engine (cc): - 1996cc
Basic Power: - 105 bhp
Weight: - 135kgs
Height: - 69cms
Length: - 56cms
Block: - Cast Iron
Head: - Cast Iron
Valves: - 8 Valves, Single Cam
2nd Hand: - £100 (approx)
Ease of fit: - Easy to fit but this is a tall engine

Ease to tune: - Easy as they are well established and also easy to work on for the DIY'er

Upgrades: - 150bhp= Kent FR32 cam, gas flowed head, twin 45's. 160bhp= as before plus Kent FR33 cam

Availability: - Relatively easy to find as plenty of Sierra's still about. Approx £950.00 to rebuild

Gearbox fit: - Standard Type 9 from Donor car

Overall: - Very cheap option with plenty of parts available, very robust engine. Exhausts on right which limits swapping engine at later date. Slightly on the heavy side.
Type 9 is 31-33kg

Cheers
