Kev, Did you find a local company to make a new cable up for you. I was going to go to the newcastle VOSA as its just around the corner from me... but... I have had to shorten the front section of the mx5 cable to fit in with the Saturn plans. It looks like the ends etc are not standard. The only thing I can think about doing is buying another front section and having it swaged at the end to make it "look original". If there is a company who can make a new one this would be great.
