In Belgium, they just don't like kit cars, they would fail the car because of stupid things. (4 point harness, no windscreen, side exhaust exit, adjustable suspension, stiff suspension,... ) And it is not just paperwork.
But now there are some regulations changes (just read this yesterday): Every car which has been registered in another country (Also kit cars in the UK) can get a belgian registration without to much problems. This is a huge relief for kit car fans in Belgium
The step to get it registered in Holland, is just because it is easier to get a car registered from there than one from the UK. (With the new regulations this is not necessary)
