![]() Hi all
hope you don,t mind me asking this basic question, is the 1.8cvh sierra estate ok as a donor? i,m pretty sure it is as have read somewhere that there are only slight differences to rear upright & or subframe assembley but as won.t need the subframe will the estate be ok to use as my donor? there is one available via the locostbuilders forum & just want your input before i try to get the said car. many thanks Andy ps does the estate use an mt75 box? i would prefer a type 9 tho. |

![]() The Estate version is just fine for a donor.
![]() As far as I know the 1.8 CVH will be fitted with the type 9 gearbox. I believe the MT75 box was only used on the 2litre DOHC & the XR4i. All of the components from an estate donor will be the same as the saloon or hatch model. ![]()

![]() Nice one Andy.
Good price is that. ![]() Remember have plenty of fun with your build. That's what it is all about. Any problems just give a shout. Don't make the same mistake as me & set unrealislic build targets. ![]() It will do your head in. ![]() Slow progress on my build at the moment but am enjoying thins better now that I have learned to be a bit more laid back. ![]()
