Default engine came today

HiAll
got the engine today but second hand still no prob
Have these numbers on the side of the block has anyone any idea what they mean
4 L 81
21030
16
S 20
20 HM 6015 BA

21030 - is probably the engine number though usually there are a couple of letters before the numbers

20HM-6015-BA is the part number for the cylinder block.

Don't know about the others

I would have thought the HM 6015 BA is the engine stamp. HM is November 1987. I assume this is a Ford engine? Ideally photos of where these numbers are and the actual engine details, would help put these numbers into context.

That 6015 number is fords number for engine castings across the board inc the states. The first as you say are the date and the last i think relate to the type of vehicle its designated to.
