| Kickdown relay I've been reading through the wiring diagram and came across the kickdown relay and was wondering what it does and whether I need it? |

| "Kickdown" is a feature of auto boxes which allows for a downshift for better acceleration. Basically when you floor the loud pedal the 'box will drop a gear. Later slush boxes have some electronic control hence the kickdown relay. D.
