![]() Hi ET.....if you are struggling with finding an intercooler thats man enough for the job then consider a charge cooler and or water methanol injection I am fitting both to mine and expecting charge temps to be at or around ambient which equates up to 30 percent more atmospheric air ie more oxy, I think you might struggle with a air to air intercooler. you could just go with water/meth injection and not even bother with any intercooler ....and as a bonus methanol can be as cheap as 60p litre due to the bio diesel guys using lots of it you also cut it wit water to 50/50 so it is now down to 30p a litre another bonus is it allows more boost before the onslought of detonation and it also lifts your fuel grade by a couple of octanes......food for thought dude

![]() interesting! Something to think about for sure.
Another option i have found is using a radiator out of a westfield SEiGHT the 5 core job. These are designed for v8's so should be ok. Then use a 2wd escort cosworth intercooler... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Cosworth-I...96589233258759 on top that should all fit quite well and not cost a massive amount. If temps are high still can look at a 2nd rad in the boot with a charge cooler. But im also thinking about having two oil coolers as well. So over all the temps i think will be ok. |

![]() A discovery rad would fit in there easy. They come as a four core standard with drop in pegs for ease of fitment and measure <just pulled one out of the shed so this is right> 540mm wide x 450mm high x 75mm thick. That can cool a 2.5 td pulling 2 ton of 4x4 so it would cope with just about anything in a roadster. it also has the oil cooler in the tanks so thats another thing out of the way. A decent second hand unit would only set you back £30. They also have an intercooler that might be usable .

![]() Intercooler is sorted. Found that the Escort 2wd Cosworth has a nice size intercooler that will fit between the top of the chassis and nosecone.
By removing an intercooler infront of the radiator this should help quite a bit. Next step i think is to find a Westfield SEiGHT V8 Radiator..... ![]() ![]() |

![]() As Baz said the 190E has a good small double core rad, plus if i remember right the power steering fluid is cooled in a small oil cooler built into the rad im sure that could be used to cool engine oil with an inline thermostat.

![]() Indeed the 190e rads are quite good but would like to run a full aluminium radiator and i dont think any are made for that model. Also from memory its quite a high rad and will need a slightly shorter one.
