Default wifes birthday

So this weekend was the wifes birthday so i treated her to a supprise sausage making workshop at a farm shop in Northumberland

Day started out with a bit of breakfast then we went into the room where we were going to make the sausages

Out came the pork shoulder joint so shoved that onto the mincer next was the breadcrumbs and some seasoning so far so good

Then they said choose your flavours wife went for chilli flakes, mushroom and onions i went for onion and marmalade

Anyway out came the pigs intestines and the said feed it onto the nossle so i had the wife do this and it requires a certain acton and... well.. i thought the practice wont hurt

The wife then started making her sausages and she did a pretty good job if am honest then i came my turn to have a go and well... not so successful apparently i was not doing the acton right so my sausages turned out somewhat fatter than your average walls

So i let the wife do the linking then the workshop was finished we were told to just leave them in the frigde overnight

Anyway today we have had sausages for our tea and the wifes came out perfect mine however tool an hour to cook and and are a little bigger that your average gents anatomy parts

Morral of the story is that i am not taking up sausage making as a profession anytime soon but a really good day was had by all

So if you are looking to take the wife put for a treat take her making sausages its a right giggle

I actually got a sausage making machine for Christmas a couple of years ago. Makes lovely sausages but they do tend to be on the large size. I think my Mrs did find it an odd thing to buy and point blank refused to buy the intestines as well!!!
