Diff problems

I have just realised that the diff from my donor is a 7.5" one and i've built the chassis to accomadate a 7" one grrrrr

I have painted the chassis now so cutting the plates out and rewelding them further apart isn't really an option.

My question is can you get a smaller diff with the bolt on shafts, or can you fit the blot on shafts to a smaller diff?
