Unhappy what next....?

well about a week ago my coil pack decided to pack in, so that was £100 out of pocket...

tonight the gearbox decided to pack in not having much luck with vauxhall!

what next...?

anyone got a v13 (i think) gearbox for sale? the car is a 2006 1.2 corsa C sxi+

You sure it's not just the clutch that has gone? It can give the same simptoms as a broken box if it shears rather than just gets worn away. Used to happen on FWD grass track cars using cheap friction plates doing first gear 3000rpm dump clutch starts.

its defiantly the gearbox, tryed the starting it in gear thing and no joy, tis making a horrible grinding noise in every gear, sounds like someones gargling on nails! just typical, when you spend all your money on roadster parts (suspension arms) then gearbox goes

change of plan... started taking the damn thing appart today and found its not the gearbox after all, the cv joint is rubber ducked! the cage holding the bearings in has sheared and chewed up the stub axle!

makes things a damn site easier, didnt really fancy taking the gearbox out on my back!
