Default R1 Bike carbs..

I'm offshore at the mo and need measurments off R1 bike carbs (R1 2001 5JJ) ..

I need the outside diameter of the circled parts both sides of the carbs...

I'm trying to get rubber mounts and air fiters ordered so they're at home before me....

Thanks,

Bertie.

(Assuming they are going on a car engine)

For the air filter side just buy a pipercross sausage filter and back plate, a little bit pricey but perfect for the job and will last years, i know this wont help you at the moment as you still need some dimensions!

They come with differing internal heights so make sure you leave the recommended clearance between the trumpet mouth and the filter

The individual filters are apparently rubbish so I wouldnt use them!

For the side that attaches to the inlet manifold i would get some R1 rubbers as they will be fuel proof and will fit perfectly unlike silicone hose which degrades when used with fuel over time

You can buy fuel resistant silicone hose but its quite pricey and your carbs will never be as secure as they would be with the r1 rubbers

Mine were originally on silicone and i could pull them off with a good tug, they never caused me any problems like this but with the original bike rubbers bolted to a matching flange on the manifold just seems a much better job
