![]() As i'm unable to go to Stoneleigh tomorrow,
I though i would have a go at cutting and welding my sump tomorrow morning, been putting it off up till know. The last time i tried welding steel that thin, all i seemed to do was blow hole through the thin steel. So any tips peeps can give will be appreciated. Terry

![]() What method are you using to weld it you dont say, the bigest thing to remember is clean away any traces of oil and paint it needs to be spotlessly clean. And the other thing i would say is take your time and dont get too carried away, getting too much heat, weld in small sections
good luck Arfon |

![]() if you get stuck terry give me a ring i could tig it for you.
try and use .6 wire if you have any and run as low as you can go on power work in small sections 1/2 inch or so mooving around to diffrent ares so nothing gets too hot |
