Default HELP!!! Travelling welder needed.

Hiya folks
Have eventually dug up the courage to spend some money. I've agreed to buy an almost complete Haynes chassis, all donor parts, and loads of other bits off a fella on ebay. I pick it up on Monday in a bloody big van.
My problem is there are still a couple of chassis plates/brackets left to weld on. I don't have a welder or any welding ability whatsoever.
I have two choices, 1) leave the chassis on ice while I buy a welder and learn how to weld. 2) find myself some really nice bloke on here who can pop round to my house in Durham area with his welding equipment and spend a couple of hours welding on the necessary bits and bobs. There'll be copious amounts of tea/coffee, and obviously a few beer tokens in it for them.
There's still a couple of wishbones and the rear uprights to complete too, but seeing as they are a bit more portable I can get them done elsewhere if necessary.
Anyway, I'll report back on here when I get all of my stuff together to keep you all informed.
Cheers guys

Alan

Default Sorry

Alan,

I would love nothing more than to pop over and do some welding for you, simply to have someone make me tea all day, easily pleased me.

BUT you are 287miles and 5hours 14 minutes away. Sorry good luck though.

Cheers Ginge

Cheers mate, I'm sure some kind soul who lives a bit nearer will come forward.

Alan,

I will do a lot more than weld for tea, ask Ash. But that’s another story.

Good luck in your search.

Cheers Ginge
