A plasma that will cut clean over 6mm or even be reliable is on my 'shopping/wish' list along with a replacement AC/DC tig that works, 3 phase 250+ amp mig the list goes on and on now I just need the money to pay for some of it....

That looks to be an awesome bit of kit, certainly beats the old chain drill technique.
To carve through 15mm steel that cleanly must be a decent spec. Nice to see a steady hand action too!! |

Now show us the pic from the other side
But for 15mm cut that is nice and clean, how many amps.?

Ok you lot I have a confession to make . The circle was done with a cutters compass. You put the plasma head or a gas cutting head in there and do perfect circles.
Freehand on 1/2" plate just using a straight edge to follow produces this. makes virtually no slag on the underside. A gem , I was talked into it by my boc supplier when the gas was on a shortage. I have only just started to play with it , it seems happy up to about 20 ish mm and will sever 27mm bar so good enough for anything I need it for. Bob

Been messing about with the plasma cutter on some experimental rad mounts in 3mm plate.
As cut and I used a steel ring to use as a guide for the holes. They barely need more than a file run across them. Bob
