removing propshaft from MT75
Hi,
I'm stripping off my donor. Brakes, drive shafts and diff are removed now. On my donor, I have an MT75 gear box. But I will fit a T9 gearbox on my roadster (I have it already). Question 1 : will the joint between the prop shaft and the MT75 fit the Type 9 gear box ? Picture : joint on the MT75 of the car and Type 9 tail shaft. IMG_2298_1.JPG IMG_2296_1.JPG Question 2 : according to the RTA manual (French equivalent of your Haynes Manuals), the propshaft, when undone from the pig nose of the diff and the central bearing, is supposed to get out easily from the tail of the Type 9 gearbox, without undoing the joint. Is it the same with the MT75 gearbox? I can't find anything about how the joint is fitted to an MT75 gearbox in the manual. The front part of the prop shaft doesn't seem to be willing going out easily. Do I just have to pull on it more, or is there something to do to set it free? Actually, the prop shaft went out easily from its “front part” which is still on the car, attached to the gearbox (see picture bellow) IMG_2304_1.JPG IMG_2301_1.JPG Thank you for your advices and tips.

the MT75 output is on a tripod to a rubber damper. It does not slide out of the box.

Thank you for the replies guys.
So, TT, does that mean that I can not use the prop shaft's front joint that links to the MT75 on my T9? And how can I remove this joint from the MT75 if it is not sliding out? Thanks.

I think most so far have gone for a new custom prop.
I will see if I can find info on the MT75, but I am almost sure the output shaft will be useless to you any where near a T9 TT

That is my plan too. But I thought I have to supply both joints to the propshaft manufacturer, no ? But perhaps they supply a complete propshaft from brnad new parts? (I was thinking about the company "Commerical Propshaft")
Could you please tell me how you did yours? Thanks.
