Default Engine in

Was having a great day yesterday fitted the wheels and dropped in the engine then I trial fitted the bonnet and found although I had allowed for the height of the engine block the carbs on my 1.8 CVH are higher and foul on the bonnet. Has anyone else had this problem ? Guess I need to reduce the height of the engine mounts to lower the whole thing down a little or I was thinking of usinng bike carbs does anyone have any pictures of them connected upto a 1.8CVH I assume they would connect up horizontally so be much lower ?

You'll find with the standard 1.8 CVH carb that the filter will stick up through the bonnet.

I have fitted bike carbs to mine, and with the new style Saturn bonnet everything fits under fine.

I used gsxr 600 carbs. But any carbs from a 600 up should work ok once setup correctly. I made my own manifold up so I could angle them to fit wherever I wanted.
