Rear hub nuts!
Ok, I have managed to get one hub nut off it am stuck! The other side is just spinning although the drive shaft isn't moving. It almost seems that it has been cross threaded on the driveshaft but won't wind back off. Any ideas guys it's doing my head in now?
Cheers guys |

Are you going the right way? some of the hubs are reversthreaded. I think there's a dot punched in if it's the case.. Think it's mentioned in the haynes.

The drivers side wound off anticlockwise and i'm turning the passenger side the same so.... i think so unless some sneaky sod has put a reversethreaded on on the passenger side! Nothing would surprise me though

Yup, passenger side is a left hand thread. You will bnotice that the nuts have different coloured locking rings, mine were green drivers side and white passenger side.

Damn, does that mean i've knackered something if it's spinning the other way? Will have a go the other way

No you haven't broken anything, you'll just have tightened it on something crazy. The nut is clearly marked as a reverse thread by notches put on the nut.
