Hi, I know this has been covered before but im about to make my rear uprights and need to know if the calipers sit at the top as on the donor or are they rotated 90degrees to be placed at the rear?
Thanks in advance Ray oh and a few pics would be nice too |

G'Day Mate,
I would suggest that regardless of the caliper you use, you would fit it on which ever side would place the bleed nipple at the top. Cheers, Matt |

Ray,have you made the uprights? If not make them up and dont fit the center plate that fixes the bearing housing then you can turn it horizontal or vertical to suit your needs and or wheel combination.
I have drum uprights with 3GE adatpters to disc brake. Hope this makes sense. |

hi, and thanks im in the middle of making them and have made the bit that holds the bearing carrier from the original bit cut from the sierra wishbone,
I set it up on the lathe and have turned a 90mm spigot on it which wil rotate in the collar that goes in the tube. im going to set it up on the chassis and swivel it about so it looks the best I have done this as i remember it being an issue but couldnt remember the outcome ill put up some pics of the upright components if anyone wants to see them Ray |

also been playing with the caliper orientation and its looking like 45 degrees rearward from vertical should be good Ray |
