Fuel cap
Hi
Can anybody put me in the right track in choosing the fuel cap. I have seen a few kit car with the lock able aero flat type, but i prefer the Monzo type which is just piviting. According to the new IVA manual this is acceptable, but there is no mention that needs to flat. Any Ideas please?

i just used a Fiat Panda (mk2) one, just cost me a smile at the local scrappies, just make sure you mount it on the top or the rear panel. not the side, or be prepared to take 10 mins filling up!

Am I correct to think that your car has been through IVA and paased?
Cheers

Don't the IVA rules now say that the cap either has to be attached to the car, or on the same key as the ignition to prevent you driving off without it?

Hi David
Yes you are right, what I am trying to find out is that, does it need to be flat type of fit in line with body work or not?

i think it just has to pass the radius test if the cover isn,t flush with a panel aswell as the things already mentioned, i remember reading an article in Complete Kit Car mag when the IVA was first used.(think it was on a Cobra tho) andy
