as you can tell im new to this forum, but iv nearly finishd my chassi. in now at the point of needing to mount my engine and after a lot of thinking my engine choice is a 3.5 rover v8. there are 2 resons for this, one is that the engine was free and secondly it looks and sounds good. my question is do i need to modify the sump to lower the big lump?. all help will be gratefull thank. matt |

![]() best way to work it out is to put the engine in and see how far the sump is out the bottom of the chassis. you want about 100-110mm ground clearance to clear speed bumps.
