Default sierra LSD diff- help!

I have just bought a diff off ebay advertised as sierra cosworth / granada with
serial nos ending in AA. I have opened box today and I cannot see any tag or anything else with such nos. I have since checked online and it seems that this code is for a 3.92 LSD 7", but mine was stated as being 3.62 and also it seems that cosworths/granadas were 7.5" and this one is a7".
Is there anyway to tell if this is a LSD other than serial nos or have i beed duped?
cheers
tony

Two options either take the cover plate off the back and look inside or stick the half shafts in they should both turn the same way when the input flange is turned if an LSD. If how ever they go opposite ways then it's an open diff and you've been had.

I paid £200+ postage of £20, there were a few at the time of looking ranging from 200 to over 400 pounds. I had been looking at a few some had serial nos some didnt and even the ones with nos didnt quite check out as being right so be careful,

Bargain considering the prices some have been, definitely another case of being in the right place at the right time
